Last month, we took a quick look at the all-new Chrysler Pacifica minivan and its future place within the new brand lineup.
Those of us who've been around for a few years remember the Pacifica in its older form--a stylish and sturdy wagon that just couldn't cut it in a market that was demanding SUVs. But make no mistake, the newly-developed and redesigned Chrysler Pacifica is a completely new model, in form, function, and attitude.
Model Lineup for the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
All minivan models come standard with the brand's award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine; hybrid models add an electric motor and lithium-ion battery to its powertrain for an added eco boost of performance.
- 2017 Chrysler Pacifica LX (base)
- 2017 Pacifica Touring, Touring-L, and Touring-L Plus
- 2017 Pacifica Limited and Limited Platinum (highest)
- 2017 Pacifica Touring Hybrid, Limited Platinum Hybrid
Each new model offers a unique combination of standard and available features for comfort, convenience, technology, connectivity, and safety.

Specs, release date, mpg, dimensions, pricing, and safety
As of now, we don't know an exceptional amount of information about the new Pacifica model; after all, it was just released a few weeks ago--and where's the fun in that?
What we do know is that it's set to be simultaneously larger and lighter than the outgoing Town & Country minivan, to provide an even more versatile interior with better fuel economy. Cargo capacity will max out over 140 cubic feet, and the powerful engine will create 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain will offer up to 30 miles of travel on pure electric power, and the Touring and Limited Platinum Hybrids hope for an 80 MPGe fuel economy rating--though we don't yet have the official numbers.
